Working with us

Key project terms

These are the key points of our Standard Terms & Conditions for installation and project work. The full terms are attached to every quotation and form part of the contract once a quote is accepted.

Quotations
A quotation is valid for 7 calendar days unless it states otherwise. It covers only the work and materials listed; civil works, plastering, and painting are excluded unless included in writing. Prices exclude VAT (7.5%) and other statutory levies.
Material price changes
Nigerian material prices move with the exchange rate. If prices rise more than 5% between the quote and the start of work, we may issue a revised quote before proceeding, and you can decline it.
Accepting a quote
You can accept by signing the quotation, by email or WhatsApp/SMS from a verified contact, or by paying the mobilisation deposit. Verbal acceptance must be confirmed in writing within 48 hours. Contracts of ₦2,000,000 or more also need a signed acceptance.
Mobilisation deposit
A 70% deposit is required before we procure materials or schedule work. If you cancel before any procurement or mobilisation, it is refunded less a 5% processing fee. After procurement starts, cancellation charges depend on how far the job has progressed.
Staged payments
For contracts above ₦2,000,000: 70% before work starts, 20% at first fix or an agreed milestone, and 10% on practical completion and sign-off. Invoices are due within 30 days of issue.
Changes to the job
Any change to scope, materials, or timing is agreed through a written Variation Order before it is carried out, showing the cost and time impact. Hidden faults found after work starts are handled the same way.
Timelines
Start dates are confirmed in writing once the deposit clears. Completion dates are good-faith estimates; if we expect a delay of more than 5 working days we tell you in writing with a revised date.
Handover
We test and inspect the installation before handover and ask you or your representative to attend the final inspection.
Workmanship warranty
12 months on installation workmanship from practical completion and handover. Materials carry the manufacturer’s warranty. The warranty does not cover tampering, surges or lightning not caused by our installation, pre-existing wiring faults, or normal wear.
Site security
Materials delivered to site are the client’s responsibility to secure until handover. We recommend Contractor’s All-Risk insurance for larger projects.
Disputes
Disputes go first to good-faith negotiation, then to arbitration in Abuja under the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023. The terms are governed by Nigerian law.

Maintenance contracts under the Kell AssetCare Programme have their own terms, including a 90-day workmanship warranty on maintenance repairs. See Maintenance & AMC.
